First International Conference on Live Coding

iclcThe first International Conference on Live Coding took place during 13-15th July 2015, hosted by ICSRiM in the School of Music, University of Leeds. We had well over a hundred delegates, travelling from around the world for an exciting programme of papers, workshops and performances. Videos of the talks and keynotes can already be found online, and the proceedings are all published with full open access. We hope to have all the performances edited and uploaded by the end of 2016.

iscMME 2014 Call for Proposals

The ICSRiM Student Conference on Music, Media and Electronics, 2014 welcomes the submission of a wide range of Sci-Arts research with particular focus on Music, Multimedia and Electronics. Submissions fall into four categories: (i) papers & presentations; (ii) posters; (iii) demonstrations or installations. Details and requirements for each category are specified below. All submissions will be reviewed by the iscMME programme committee.

iscMME themes include but are not limited to: Transdomain mapping, instrument augmentation, computer music, gesture analysis, networked and distributed performance, digital audio processing and analysis, technology-enhanced education, music creativity, computational musicology, machine perception, physical computing, algorithmic composition, live electronics, live coding, laptop performance, electroacoustic and acousmatic composition, digital aesthetic, music imaging, bio-music, new musical interfaces, and scientific research in music.

Important dates

  • Submissions: Open
  • Deadline for submission: 5th May 2014
  • Notification of acceptance: 19th May 2014
  • Camera ready deadline for final papers, media and all performance material: 2nd June 2014

AXMEDIS2006: 2nd International Conference on Automated Production of Cross Media Content for Multi-Channel Distribution

The AXMEDIS International Conference series aims to explore all subjects and topics related to cross-media and digital-media content production, processing, management, standards, representation, sharing, protection and rights management, to address the latest developments and future trends of the technologies and their applications, impacts and exploitation.In 2006, the conference was hosted in Leeds, and the general chair was Dr Kia Ng.

2nd ConGAS International Symposium on Gesture Interfaces for Multimedia Systems

The aim of this symposium is to explore emerging technologies and applications in gesture controlled multimedia systems, expressive gesture analysis, modelling and synthesis; to increase awareness and exchange views and experiences in the use of gesture interface and interactive multimedia technologies, with particular interests in performing arts. Topic of interests include but not limited to gesture sensing, tracking, analysis of expressive gesture, modelling, synthesis of expressive gesture, animation, mapping strategies and many others, with special focus on distributed and collaborative performance and e-learning.

The symposium is designed to have an informal atmosphere to promote discussion and also offer opportunity to provide demo and performances on the 2nd day (10 May 2006. 4pm-7:40pm).
